New Camera, New Images.

Le Port Blogspot has got a new camera so expects better images. Here is a damsel fly: a male damsel fly, so I suppose it must be in drag - admire those muscle blocks at the bases of the wings... thrill to those bulgy eyes, go crazy at the sight of the internal wing supports...

A separate sub-blog has been set up as an exercise - An hour was spent photographing whatever wildlife was seen close enough and for long enough to be photographed. Eight images were eventually produced and these are to be seen on:

Haiku XXXV

Sting Pointing skyward

Pollen sacks spilt into the Rose:

Death by white spider.

Poem: Black Redstart.

Listen my Love

In Dawn's smallest hour,

In the silence of the quarter light

Hear the Muezzin on the barn roof

How his wheezing paltry piping

Rouses the listeners in the dark woods

To create an orchestra a thousand miles wide

From Norway's tundra to the Middle Sea;

A fanfare exposing the discreet conception

Of this flaming, providential day.

Paul Munton
With thanks to the Droad for the listeners in the wood.

Haiku XXXIV

The Black Redstart;

Birds' Muezzin on the barn roof

Leads the Dawn Chorus.
